First introduced in 1992, the Shamal wheel was a symbolic product that made Campagnolo the world's first to introduce the now commonplace concept of the "fully assembled wheel. In the years that followed, the "Chamal" project would always symbolize for Campagnolo the challenge of the future.

The unprecedented dual-profile design rim improves aerodynamic performance in crosswind conditions. Offering the best handling in all terrain and wind conditions, it was developed using CFD analysis and evolved through wind tunnel and real-world testing to its final design. The combination of different profiles and flanged hubs allows the use of shorter spokes, increasing stiffness but without compromising comfort.
- C-LUX™ FINISH
As in the previous generation, the new model employs an invisible but important feature: UD carbon fiber construction with C-LUX™ finish. This technology ensures optimal ride comfort in all conditions and allows for wider tire sizes suitable for gravel use. The Mo-Mag™ system, a rim bed without spoke holes and C-Lux™ finish combine to provide an easier tubeless setup. and C-LUX™ finish for easier tubeless setting.
Despite its high profile and wide rim, the new wheel is more than 100 grams lighter than previous models, achieving a total weight of 1,480 grams.
