The Aso Kumamoto Airport "Runway Cycling" was recently successfully completed. Thank you to everyone who participated from early in the morning!
It was a unique and precious experience to ride a bicycle on the runway of Kumamoto Airport, where airplanes usually take off and land. Blessed with perfect weather, the event brought smiles to the faces of all participants.

The runway is a place you would normally never set foot on. The exhilaration of riding a bicycle over the vast airstrip with the wind blowing through the air was exceptional! Participants said, "I will never experience anything like this again! The airplanes are so close! I'll never experience anything like this again!
Since it was the first day of the summer vacation, we were delighted to see many parents and their children enjoying cycling at their own pace.
We hope that through this runway cycling, you were able to enjoy the fun of cycling and the new attraction of "Aso Kumamoto Airport".
We received more applications than we could accommodate this time, so we had to hold a lottery. We will continue to plan events to show everyone how fun bicycling can be, so please keep an eye out for more information in the future!
