Aso Kumamoto Airport
Our restaurant is located in Aso Kumamoto Airport
Departing from Aso Kumamoto Airport, we will begin our cycling trip to Aso. After leaving the airport, we will first head toward Nishihara Village. As we proceed gently uphill, the magnificent scenery of Aso gradually unfolds. Along the way, feel the fresh breeze as you enjoy the peaceful countryside and pastures.
Shiraito Falls
Unexplored waterfall reached by pedaling
Departing from Aso Kumamoto Airport, you will visit Shiraito Falls, an art created by the nature of Aso. E-motorbikes can easily reach the difficult-to-access area. Feel the power of nature in this cool and refreshing space.
seasonal luxury food
For lunch, the local specialty "kawara soba" is recommended!
We recommend Shikisoku Soba, a tasty hideaway spot for tiled soba noodles located in Nishihara Village in Aso! The famous kawara soba was born from an anecdote about the Satsuma troops surrounding Kumamoto Castle during the Civil War in 1877, who roasted vegetables and meat on kawara (tiles) and ate them. Originating in Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, here you can enjoy authentic kawara soba arranged in Kumamoto style. The crispy texture and savory flavor of chasoba, which is cooked on a hot tile, is irresistible.
Tawarayama Pass Observatory
A panoramic view of Aso stretching out before your eyes!
Next, go to the Tawarayama Observatory. From here, a magnificent panoramic view of Aso unfolds. With the help of e-bikes, the journey to this spectacular viewpoint will become an enjoyable memory.
home of the young
Great spot for a snack break.
The last stop is Moe no Sato. Here, sweets made from exquisite karaimo potatoes grown in the volcanic ash soil of Nishihara Village await you. Its natural sweetness and moist texture that relieves fatigue are exceptional. The moment you taste these exquisite sweets against the backdrop of Mother Nature will surely be an unforgettable memory.
Nami statue
In addition, at Moe no Sato, visitors can take a commemorative photo with a bronze statue of NAMI, the heroine of the popular manga "ONEPIECE. This statue, a tribute to Kumamoto-born author Eiichiro Oda, is a must-see for anime fans.
